Wendy Williams gets real…with wigs

Wendy Williams is known for saying it like she means it! Whether her years of radio or several seasons on her daytime talk show, Wendy Williams has spoken her mind about any and everything!

Well, she’s even more vocal these days about hair! It’s no secret she’s a “wiggie” and I must say I’ve learned more about wigs from her than anywhere else! She and her glam team have a new wig line that will be released in the fall. Wendy says that she was closeted about her wigs for a very long time because of the perception of wigs being for bald people or old ladies. Well, she’s bringing all her personality and sass to this wig line.

It’s about time…hair is an accessory! Embrace it! I’m just sayin…

 

Lee Thompson Young dies at 29

Yesterday, we all heard the sad news that child star Lee Thompson Young died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Reports so far have revealed that there was no suicide note left and close friends are baffled regarding reasons for the actor to take his own life.

Many remember Lee Thompson Young from his show “The Famous Jett Jackson” on the Disney channel. He appeared in movies and sitcoms before landing his most recent role on “Rizzoli and Isles” where he played a detective.

I can’t begin to imagine what was going on for him…thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends

Oprah speaks on Paula Deen…

First, let me say that wig is EVERYTHING! Ok, now that I got that out of my system, let’s get to the story.

Big O and Paula Deen clearly have history as she appeared on her show several times in the past. Well, Oprah is promoting her new film “The Butler” and was asked about Paula Deen on Extra. She responds, “Oh my god! I don’t have anything to do with Paula Deen,…She is not the first white lady to use the N-word! Good lord!”

Oprah has a point…she’s not the first, and won’t be the last. I can’t imagine we’ll see Paula Deen on any Oprah special in the future though. Oprah has made it very clear that she does not keep friends that use the n- word. I’m just sayin!

Usher Raymond’s Son Nearly Drowns…and the Aftermath

So we all heard the near fatal news that Tameka and Usher Raymond’s 5-year-old son almost drowned in his father’s pool. The back story is that Cinco was swimming to the bottom of the pool to retrieve a toy near the drain when his arm was caught. After a few attempts, he was retrieved from the pool and given CPR. He was hospitalized in ICU but expected to make a full recovery.

So of course that isn’t where the story ends…Tameka has now filed an emergency request for custody of her sons claiming that Usher continues to leave their sons with family members. She specifically complained about the aunt that was caring for the boys at the time of the incident stating that she has let a stalker in the home before and also is too physical when disciplining the boys. It’s about to get very REAL! I’m just sayin…

Should Tameka get her kids back?
